Can a puncture be repaired?

Some punctures can be repaired, but the tyre needs inspection first. The damage position, condition and use while under-inflated matter. A small puncture in a suitable tread area may be repairable; shoulder, sidewall or internal damage can rule out a normal minor repair.

What to do after a tyre blowout

Keep control of the vehicle and stop in a place of relative safety if possible. Once stopped, assess the danger before arranging tyre help. If you are in a live traffic lane or cannot get to safety, contact emergency services rather than treating it as an ordinary tyre callout.

How to find your tyre size

Look for a sequence such as 205/55 R16 on the tyre sidewall. The full marking also includes load and speed information. Read the tyre that needs attention, as front and rear sizes can differ. If you cannot inspect safely, send your registration and explain the situation.

Can you drive on a flat tyre?

Do not continue a journey on a conventional flat tyre. It can affect control and damage the tyre and wheel. Stop safely and arrange appropriate help. Run-flat tyres are a specific exception with manufacturer restrictions, not permission to drive any flat tyre.
